MacGadka #121 – Sal Soghoian & Mac automation

Apple let legendary Sal Soghoian go. One cannot simply wave that aside. Michał and I, we’re discussing the issue and asking MacGadka listeners to respond and contact Apple.

Apple let Sal Soghoian go :(

Very alarming news went around Mac users recently: Sal Soghoian, long-time Product Manager of Automation Technologies at Apple, the author, evangelist and legendary AppleScript go-to person had been let go. His position has been allegedly eliminated.

All of this does not bode well for the future of Mac automation – a truly essential and magical part of macOS that has been giving the platform a clear advantage over Linux or Windows.

This is the time for all good men and women to reach out, speak up and ask questions. Ask Apple what is going on!
